Action sports brand Extreme, along with British consumer electronics brand Otone Audio, has announced a national retail partnership with high street retailer HMV.
Extreme recently launched a range of speakers and headphones, designed for the action sports market, the brand says. The products are focused on sound quality in a durable lightweight construction, and feature artwork designed by Extreme ambassadors and artists, the company adds.
To support the listings, Extreme is also set to launch a national campaign, supported by over 80 athletes, celebrities, DJs and artists.
Among the range will be the Wallride: Artist Edition speaker, featuring artwork from UK based artists The Visual Drop. Wallride features Nanofics hydrophobic coating, Bluetooth and NFC.
Extreme International chairman and chief executive Alistair Gosling said: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with the retail giant HMV. HMV’s ethos, values and brand resonate with our audience and we believe HMV is a destination of choice for our consumers.”
HMV senior technology buyer Dean Millward commented: “We are delighted that Extreme is launching its new speaker on the high street with HMV. The UK’s biggest entertainment retailer HMV and iconic lifestyle brand Extreme make an ideal partnership. The lightweight, durable designs and high fidelity sound quality will enable action sports fans and participants to listen to music on the move without compromising on quality.”
Otone managing director Stephen Hoare added: “We have created some incredible products in partnership with Extreme. By integrating unique designs with our speaker technology we better serve the Extreme audience over any other products on the market.”
