Exclusively shows to introduce ‘Tomorrow’s Kitchen’

Organisers of the Exclusively shows have confirmed that they will be introducing a new feature to their 2017 shows called ‘Tomorrow’s Kitchen’.

The new feature will help visitors from both Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical review the latest advancements within the domestic kitchen and look ahead to what the future holds.

exclusivelyShow director Simon Boyd explained: “With the housewares and small appliances market, like so many, facing new challenges we feel it is timely to invest in sharing a wider view of the future, and how our exhibitor’s products will fit into prospective lifestyles and designs. The new feature will focus on a combination of technological, lifestyle and design items and features which are available now, or coming our way.”

The feature will be built on the Atrium level above the Gallery Hall, where Exclusively Electrical currently takes place. This level will also house the Exclusively shows’ press office, Design Trend product display and a seminar theatre and will have content to attract visitors from both the shows.

The product demo facility previously in Exclusively Electrical will also move up to the Atrium level and be an integral part of the Tomorrow’s Kitchen feature, the organisers add. The organisers have also confirmed that Chinese chef and pioneer of fusion cooking Ken Hom will be appearing in the demo kitchen on both days of the shows in conjunction with regular Exclusively Housewares exhibitor, DKB Household UK Ltd.

Tomorrow’s Kitchen will not only feature the latest ‘smart’ built-in appliances, but also give exhibitors the chance to showcase the developments which affect their sector of the housewares or SDA market.

The shows will present advice from leading food/cookery and home experts and continue to work with trend forecasters Scarlet Opus to highlight the role of the kitchen in future lifestyles and what eating and cookery trends will be affecting product development.

Simon added: “While new ‘smart’ products and apps tend to get most of the publicity, there are plenty of other factors which drive product innovation – some is legislation or safety based, some relates to material changes or new ways of using existing materials. We’ll be consulting widely to ensure we have identified all the elements any retailer should be aware of when making future buying choices.”
