IMRG has revealed its latest ‘Top 50 Retailer Ranking’, in partnership with comScore, with Amazon remaining top of the pile.
Based on UK visitors from desktops and laptops in November 2014, the list had Argos in second place, and Apple dropping to fourth as Tesco overtook to round out the top three. Multichannel brands appear strong in November with eight of the top 10 retailers on the list having a physical store presence in the latest ranking.
IMRG chief information officer Tina Spooner said: “The strength of Multichannel retailing is evident with eight of the top 10 retailers and almost 70% of the top 50 having a physical store presence in the latest Retailer Ranking. This is corroborated in the performance of the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index, which reveals that year-to-date High St / Multichannel retailers are ahead in terms of e-retail growth compared with their Online-only counterparts.”
Elsewhere on the list, John Lewis occupied sixth place, with Currys at eighth, Debenhams down from eight to 13, House of Fraser at 26 and Carphone Warehouse and PC World at 30 and 31 respectively.
