Electrical firm calls in administrators

A leading independent electrical retailer, which employs about 300 staff in 14 stores across the country, has collapsed.

Norfolk-based firm Bennetts has called in administrators PKF.

It will be making an announcement and releasing further details at a press conference on Friday.

The firm has major stores in Colchester, Norwich, Martlesham Heath in Suffolk, Bangor and Farnham. The BBC understands that staff have been told.
