Eco induction from Belling

In Industry News On

BELLING has just launched a new collection of kitchen appliances which includes a number of firsts for the manufacturer and the UK market.

The most innovative development is perhaps the BI60i Belling Eco Induction Oven, which uses induction technology in the main oven cavity making 50% energy savings on an A rated oven. The built-in, 6-in-1 oven uses an integrated induction plate inside the oven cavity and is capable of slow cooking, roasting, grilling and steaming food. The BI60i comes with a cast iron pot as well as a steaming and roasting trivet for induction cooking. The Eco Induction Oven will be manufactured in Britain as part of GDHA’s commitment to home-grown innovation.

Another first for Belling and the UK is the introduction of induction technology onto a freestanding double cooker. The FSE60i is the first double oven freestanding cooker with an induction hob which offers a more energy efficient way to cook.

Also part of the new collection of eco-friendly induction appliances are two new induction hobs with a touch control ‘temperature slider’. It allows the consumer to adjust the temperature setting of each induction zone simply by running a finger from left to right.

At the same time Belling has launched the Media Chef, an interactive digital cookery guide. Pre-loaded with 48 cook-a-long demonstration recipes including exclusive content from top chef, Brian Turner, this innovative kitchen gadget allows the user to watch, follow and master recipes from its 8in screen. It comes with a compact remote control, giving users the freedom to play, pause and rewind the demonstrations so that they can cook at their own pace. The Media Chef can be used as a digital photo frame, calendar and MP3 player.

Completing the collection is the Belling Butler, a modern take on the hostess trolley. It has a 84 litre capacity and stores food for up to five hours maintaining the food’s temperature at well over 63 ºC.
