DirekTek “Heroes Day” in aid of Help For Heroes

In Uncategorized On

DirekTek held an office charity day last month in support of Help for Heroes and raised a fantastic £291.45 for the cause.

DirekTek staff were encouraged to dress as heroes for the day with some fun and inventive fancy dress contributions! The main highlights included a raffle offering a range of great prizes, as well as a bake sale with a range of donated goodies. Prizes were also awarded to the best dressed and the best cake.

Help For Heroes is a great cause that all at DirekTek felt they could get behind. The staff’s response to the charity of choice could be considered “beyond the call of duty”, raising more than 3 times their initial fundraising target on the day.

DirekTek would like to thank Canon and Sony who kindly donated some fantastic cameras for the raffle. Also thanks go to all that contributed amazing cakes for the bake sale and everyone who contributed towards the grand total for the day.

Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and provides direct, practical support to those injured in the current conflicts.
