Denon debuts high-end Blu-ray

In Product News On

Denon has unveiled what it describes as “the world’s first true high-end Blu-ray source”.
The DVD-2500BT supports full 1080p 24fps playback and is actually a Blu-ray transport meaning that it concentrates on reading the Blu-ray disc, rather than decoding it. The Blu-ray processing is left to a partnering AV receiver to do, to avoid doubling up on the technology.

Denon’s new disc spinner also upscales standard DVDs to 1080p.
The new deck will be available in black, silver and premium silver.
