The kitchen is becoming the heart of the home and the place for social gatherings and family time, therefore the noise level of a cooker hood should be no more than 55Db on the low speed. Many of Elica’s new range of cooker hoods feature Elica Deep Silence, EDS3, providing exceptional quietness at airflow speeds of up 900 m3/h
New to the Elica Collection, Space EDS3, the first hood to feature Elica Deep Silence (EDS3) technology making it one of the quietest hoods available today at only 35dB on the lowest speed.
The difference made by the sound absorbing performance of the new EDS3 system in comparison with the previous generation is like comparing a bustling office environment with one or two people chatting quietly in a library. This remarkable reduction in domestic noise pollution creates new possibilities for both the hood and the kitchen.
Available in both recirculating and ducting versions, Space is made of black or white tempered glass (78cm in diameter) with controls houses in a polished steel digital keyboard (15 x 30cm). Small halogen lamps are provided to illuminate the hob.
The defining characteristic of the ultra-silent EDS3 system is the three dimensional aluminum filter that offers exceptionally high airflow coverage. This makes it possible for Space, at a speed of 900m3, to guarantee an air filter capacity of 94%, while maintaining a noise level far lower than the traditional hood.
EDS3 now available in other models: Solaris, Qxygene, Vogue, Chrome, Tender, Horizonte, and Meridiana.
