Hughes Trade is continuing its planned expansion programme with the promotion of Simon Quinlan to the new position of commercial operations manager, the company has announced.
This will see him take over the day to day responsibility for Hughes’ three commercial branches in Leicester, Norwich and Rochester which currently employ around 20 people. Simon (pictured) has been with the company for eight years.
He commented: “I am really looking forward to the challenges this position brings in a company that is rapidly expanding. We opened a brand new branch in Leicester late last year meaning we now operate throughout the Midlands as well as East Anglia and the South East.
“In addition to overseeing the branches I will be looking to ensure we maintain our high levels of service quality while the business continues to grow.”
Hughes Trade’s commercial arm mainly serves the care, hospitality, tourism and educational sectors by supplying, installing and servicing a range of highly specialist washing machines and dryers together with glass and dish washers from the Miele Professional and Hobart ranges. Some of the washing machines can take loads of up to 32kg. Other commercial products include refrigeration equipment and vacuum cleaners from German manufacturer Sebo.
“We are seeing the rental side of our business grow particularly fast,” added Simon.
“This is because it offers businesses so many advantages such as managing cash flow while also taking the worry out of anything going wrong as we underwrite any reasonable repair cost. Business rental is also 100% tax deductible.”
