Ebac plans to launch a new commission-based scheme for independent retailers who stock Ebac refrigeration products. Under the new scheme, retailers will be paid a commission when customers in their local area make a purchase directly from Ebac’s website.
Ebac, manufacturer of watercoolers and dehumidifiers, has recently expanded into the refrigeration market with a range of 17 stainless steel and white fridges and freezers which will be sold through both independent retail and direct sales.
The new initiative, coined ‘Ebac Rewards’, was the idea of company founder John Elliott who said: “When we spoke to independent retailers about our new range of products, they flagged concerns about us selling direct – so we came up with a way of rewarding our retailers for online sales in their area.”
Under the new scheme, each retailer is allocated a postcode area based on the location of their store – and then paid a commission on all of Ebac’s direct sales that come from customers based in this postcode area.
