CIH retailers took part in the Beko Classic Pro-Am Golf tournament in October to compete and play at the Gloria Serenity Golf Resort, near Antalya, Turkey.
Hosted by Beko channel manager for independents Steve Naylor, the CIH team included Andrew Thomas from AF Thomas & Sons Ltd. in Newport; Neil Lunt from Lunt’s Domestic Appliances in Liverpool and Martyn Acland from Acland’s Radio & Television Ltd. in Bridgewater, Somerset. The three day event involved a different professional hosting the individual amateur teams each day.
Steve Naylor commented: “The Beko Classic Pro Am Golf Tournament is in its twentieth year and set in an exquisite Turkish resort. It was a magnificent trip, which had mixed fortunes for most of us. However, the CIH team was exceptional and was leading the tournament after the first day; sixteen under par on day two; and twelve under par on the final day. They eventually came fourth and lifted a prize trophy. It was a tremendous result and a well-deserved trophy.”
