Changes announced at Portway

In Industry News On

White goods distributor Portway has announced the retirement of longstanding areas salesman Dave Gray.

Dave was with the company for almost 13 years and will be greatly missed by his customers across the South West and his colleagues at Portway. Commercial director John Bainbridge said: “Dave was a real asset to the business and a great character. I’d like to personally thank Dave for his hard work and wish him and his wife Lynn a long and happy retirement.”

Portway Domestic Appliances has also announced the recruitment of John Hale (pictured).  Formerly an area sales manager for Inmans, John, is a self-confessed white-goods-geek and will be known to many of his Portway customers across the West Country and South Wales.  John says: “I’m delighted to back in white-good sales; I love it! I have spent the last 12 months with a well-known retailer in Seaton and although I enjoyed it I am really excited to be back on the road. I look forward to seeing my old customers again and meeting many new ones.”

Portway specialises in the national distribution of white goods brands to independent electrical retailers.
