Italian kitchen appliance brand Candy has launched a new app platform in the UK to enable its forthcoming range of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connected appliances, which will roll out from September 2017.
Entitled Simply-Fi, the app’s user interface is designed to be easy to navigate, with features that help consumers interact with their connected appliances, both at home and remotely, the brand explains.
Available for Android and Apple iOS mobiles and tablets, the Simply-Fi app will also be available to access via the Google Home Hub, thus enabling all future Candy connected appliances to be voice-activated; whether to control a specific model, request system checks, or to monitor energy consumption.
The first product to launch with the Wi-Fi connectivity of the Simply-Fi app in the UK will be the Candy Bianca freestanding laundry collection of smart washing machines and washer dryer and includes a top of the range model with 10kg capacity and unique ZOOM function that will wash every fabric type, in every programme, in under one hour, Candy says. Further Simply-Fi Wi-Fi enabled freestanding and built-in products will follow during 2017 from the brand.
