Appliance manufacturer Bosch is advertising its i-DOS technology across national television, in a campaign running from February till July 10.
Bosch says that the ‘extensive’ TV and digital campaign will bring to life the intelligent dosing system found in both the Serie 6 and 8 Bosch washing machines.
The multi-media campaign features a selection of infographics, videos, digital advertising and social media content to educate consumers about how i-DOS works, as well as the main features and benefits. The TV campaign, for example, features a father struggling to work out how much detergent to use, until his daughter shows him how easy it is with i-DOS.
Sensors inside the washing machine detect the type of fabric, load volume and degree of soiling and adjust the detergent dose, water and temperature accordingly. This helps save time and detergent, and also reduces water and energy consumption per year, Bosch says.
The brand highlights the fact that consumers often use either too much or too little detergent when doing their laundry, both of which lead to poor washing results and fabric care. Using too much detergent will result in longer wash cycles, meaning high water and energy consumption when washing, along with visible detergent residues left on clothing, which can lead to skin irritation and allergies. Using too little detergent means stains are not completely removed and can cause discolouration and unpleasant odours.
Bosch group marketing manager Charlotte Moran commented: “With new i-DOS models being added to our Serie 6 range this year we really want to educate consumers on the importance of correct dosing not only for better garment care but also for saving customers’ energy, time and money. The response to the campaign so far has been fantastic and we hope by the end of July consumers will really understand just how easy it is to achieve perfect laundry results wash after wash with i-DOS.”
