Bosch Home Appliances has announced its new product integration with Amazon across its Home Connect range.
Launching this month, Bosch Home Connect will integrate with Amazon Dash Replenishment to automatically reorder dishwasher tablets when the dishwasher senses supplies are running low. Consumers activate Dash Replenishment in the Home Connect app and automatically reorder dishwasher tabs and reclaim time spent shopping for supplies.
Through the Bosch Home Connect app, users can also operate and monitor their appliances remotely. Now consumers can use Home Connect along with Amazon Alexa for voice control in their home – starting the washing machine, preheating the oven or checking the progress of a dishwasher cycle using only their voice.
Bosch Home Appliances group marketing manager Rosalinda Pisani commented: “We’re excited to offer connected home appliances that make everyday tasks more convenient. As a brand that is ‘Invented for Life,’ working with Amazon was a natural fit and an incredible opportunity to deliver on our brand promise of providing simple solutions that add value to everyday life for our customers.”
Amazon vice president of smart home Daniel Rausch added: “We’re excited to be working with Bosch Home Appliances to make customers’ homes smarter and more convenient. Now connected Bosch dishwashers can reorder detergent tabs before they run out with Dash Replenishment, and you can start the washing using just your voice. Smart homes should make customers’ lives simpler, and these services do exactly that.”
Home Connect is a multi-brand platform consisting of Wi-Fi enabled products that can be controlled remotely from in and out of the home. Bosch adds that the company is working to grow its range of connected home appliances, and add voice recognition across a wider range of products.
The free Home Connect app is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
