Blueair will be joining the first virtual Clean Air Day Live from Sweden to discuss the importance of clean air in the work place and our home offices, and the benefits this has on our overall health and wellbeing.
The first-ever virtual Clean Air Day Live, hosted by Global Action Plan, will recognise the benefits of clean air places, celebrate those that are acting to improve the air we breathe and inspire others to play their part in cleaning up our air. The virtual events, which offer something for everyone, are set to boost activities across the country, inspiring and celebrating action on clean air, while making Clean Air Day more COVID-secure.
Clean Air Day is the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, engaging thousands of people at hundreds of events, and reaching millions more through the media. Now in its fourth year, Clean Air Day usually comprises events and gatherings around the country with last year seeing more than 600 events taking place right across the UK, attracting almost half a million people organised by local authorities, schools businesses and communities.
Due to restrictions and recent guidance from the government advising that those who can work from home should work from home, many of us have had to adapt to new ways of working in our homes during the last six months. Alexander Provins, Director EMEA, Blueair will be speaking on the benefits of clean air in our places of work, including our home offices, and the measures you can take to improve your indoor air quality.
Alexander Provins comments: “On average we spend around 90% of our time indoors, yet indoor air can be up to five time more polluted than outside. Indoor air pollution is made up of not only dust and airborne traffic pollution which makes its way inside your home, but also particles and gases from everyday household products such as cleaning supplies, candles, paint and varnish to floors. We are excited to be a part of the first-ever virtual Clean Air Day Live and raise awareness about indoor air pollution and the benefits of clean air.”
Clean Air Day Live will run tomorrow (Thursday 8th October 2020) from 10am to 5:30pm BST. Blueair will be speaking in the session on ‘cleaner workplaces for healthier employees’ at 4.15-5.00pm.
