To celebrate its 25th anniversary in the UK, Beko plc hosted stakeholders, press, retailers and key customers at a two day event on March 9 to 10 at Wembley Stadium.
The commemorative event celebrated an ‘incredibly successful’ 25 years, Beko says, which has seen the brand sell over 25 million appliances across the UK and Ireland, and look ahead to the next quarter century. The event allowed Beko plc to show off its latest products and plans for the future, including the unveiling of its new logo, four year worldwide sponsorship of FC Barcelona and its commercial and communications strategies.
Guests found four specialist zones representing brands in Beko plc’s portfolio; Beko, Grundig, Leisure and Blomberg. Each zone showcased the latest appliances from each brand.
Alongside these areas was the ‘Kitchen of the Future’, including concept products for the home such as the Beko Luminist Hob, which features a ‘Smart LED Indicator System’, audio and optic signals, and can be customised with different colours and designs. Guests were also able to view a range of Smart Connected Appliances from Grundig, all operated via an app. There was also the Grundig Virtual User Experience (VUX) technology, which allows the user to control all of their appliances from one central hub with the touch of a finger.
Beko plc UK and Ireland managing director Teresa Arbuckle commented: “We’re extremely grateful to everyone who has helped us achieve so much over the past 25 years, and the event provides the perfect opportunity for us to show that appreciation. We want to share our vision of the future to ensure that everyone knows how seriously we take our position as industry leaders. We’re committed to supplying consumers with home appliances that are innovative, stylish and eco-friendly. The world is changing, and we are evolving with it.”
