Following BBG’s recent decision to withdraw from distributing audio brands, AVI Group has appointed specialist agency Avoke for sales of their Elipson, Tangent and Eltax brands in the UK, the company has announced.
Avoke’s sales team boasts over 100 years of combined consumer electronics sales, marketing and technical experience between their five territory managers. Based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, David Anderson (pictured left), Ben Goff, Chris Keeling, Iain Dickerson and Chris Jackaman formed Avoke over four years ago.
While Tangent and Eltax are established Danish brands, Elipson is best-known for its ‘Planet’ spherical shaped ‘designer audio’ loudspeakers and B&O co-designed Music Centre, Avoke says. This month sees Elipson entering the rapidly growing turntable market with its own range of bespoke designed decks.
Neil Truckell (pictured right), will continue to act as UK country manager for AVI, through his consultancy, IOS Company. He said: “I look forward to working with David and the Avoke team in building the brands within their relative retail and custom install channels. With efficient supply now direct from France to UK retailers, this ‘Direct Trading’ model will also bring significant commercial benefits to Avoke’s customers, and with Elipson’s new and unique range of turntables, together with Tangent’s forthcoming Scandinavian designed ‘fashion’ DAB radios, AVI is set to achieve substantial growth from the UK market during this coming 2015/16 Autumn Winter season.”
