Amica home appliances in the UK and Ireland is anticipating a shift to induction hob top cooking and to meet demand has announced a new generation of ‘feature packed’ induction hobs to complement a refreshed product line-up of built-in and freestanding products, the company has announced.
Amica country manager Simon Freear commented: “Induction cooking will be the energy of choice for future generations of appliance buyers now that prices are within easy reach. The high speed, ultra-safe operation, super easy to clean and ultimate energy efficiency all contribute to what is likely to be a seismic shift away from ceramic and electric-plate hobs.
“But above all, induction looks and feels amazing. Our new range removes the last barrier to entry – price. Now a consumer can buy a high powered induction hob with boosters for under £300. This provides retailers with a strong opportunity to convey cost-over-life savings right up there with the obviously stunning aesthetics.”
Among the new range is Amica’s PI654 60 cm induction hob, including double boosters, automatic heat reduction system, pan detection and a child safety look.
The Amica brand has enjoyed sales growth in 2014 of over 80% in the UK, the company adds, with the brand building a following of electrical retailers by offering ‘a technology rich product backed up with a two year guarantee’.
