AMDEA has announced that Raheel Rashid will join the association in the role of technical officer at the beginning of March. He will primarily take responsibility for AMDEA’s work on product and user safety and connected appliances.
Mr Rashid joins AMDEA from the global organisation APG Cash drawer, where he worked as part of the quality team on technical and non-technical matters.
He has experience in the manufacturing industry through APG, working on domestic appliances, competitor analysis and product specifications and also in the retail world at Sainsbury’s Argos, where he was responsible for electrical products compliance.
He will report directly to Rob Gosling, head of technical, regulation and standards at AMDEA.
