Members of the Confederation of Aerial Industries Ltd (CAI), a trade association for content delivery, are now able to assure their customers that their entertainment installations will be carried out by quality experts approved to Government-endorsed standards.
The CAI has achieved scheme operator status for TrustMark, the Government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home, and it will enable Installers Members to apply for TrustMark status so that they can be found by homeowners using the TrustMark post code search facility. In 2014 more than 7.2 million search results were provided to homeowners who used TrustMark’s website and telephone helpline to find expert tradespeople, TrustMark says.
All CAI Members who qualify with certificated safe working practice will be able to carry the TrustMark badge to give further protection and reassurance to their customers. CAI research identified TrustMark as the right match for the association as together they can continue to raise Standards in their industry and exceed best practice.
CAI senior executive Tim Jenks said: “The TrustMark endorsement for our members will radically raise the profile of an industry that is fundamental to nearly every household in the UK – the ability to distribute home entertainment around the home along with internet based services. We firmly believe that TrustMark offers a point of differentiation in this competitive domestic market and provides homeowners with a platform to find reliable, safe and competent tradespeople.
“As with TrustMark, we aim to meet the highest standards in our industry and have put rigorous quality systems in place to ensure all our members have been inspected and will now work to Government-endorsed standards. Partnering up with TrustMark is a huge endorsement for the way we manage installations and it is a mark that our Members can show the customer, proving that they have been properly assessed and inspected and will work to Government-endorsed standards.”
