Two years after launching its first floorcare products in the UK, AEG has extended its product line-up, developing propositions with clear consumer benefits and innovative technological solutions.
Capitalising on an unprecedented growth of the handstick vacuum cleaner category which increased by 818% in terms of value and 397% in volume terms (although from a comparatively low base) over the last twelve months, and now is estimated at £7.3 million, AEG has just unveiled the latest series of its Ergorapido.
The new AEG Ergorapido two-in-one cleaner with Brushrollclean technology addresses a problem which is a real nuisance for customers. An ingeniously designed brush blade removes fibres and entwined hairs from the brush roll, which are subsequently sucked into the dust cup. To activate this function the users simply press with their foot the pedal on top of the cleaning head and all entwined hairs and fibres are removed in just seconds. The cleaner is cordless and equipped with a 180 degree rotating head making it very manoeuvrable.
The AEG Ergorapido comes in two versions: a 12V model that has twenty minute run time in a quiet mode and a 18V model with lithium battery for faster charging (4 hours) and longer run time (35 mins).
A new addition to the AEG portfolio is also the Ultraperformer, AEG’s most efficient cyclonic vacuum cleaner with cyclonic bagless technology and dust separation. The top of the range ‘Pet’ model features an air-driven turbo-brush cleaning head for removal of pet hair on all floors, even those deeply embedded in thick carpets. Both models have a 9 metre cord and the HEPA 12 filtration.
The manufacturer has also demonstrated the latest model of A Modo Mio Favola its espresso machine developed in collaboration with Lavazza. It now comes in six colour combinations and is available in two models; the A Modo Mio Favola and the A Modo Mio Favola Plus, both are equipped with a steam arm.
