AEG has announced that it is the headline sponsor of the upcoming ‘Jamie Oliver and Alex James present The Big Feastival’.

Running from August 29-31, the weekend event will feature live music performances and food stands. AEG will be present throughout the festival offering a variety of features that will focus on food and cooking, with a particular emphasis on steam and healthy food.

The AEG Big Kitchen will be showcasing the talents of some of the UK’s best chefs including Jamie Oliver, Gennaro Contaldo, Monica Galetti, Nathan Outlaw, Gizzie Irskine, Ashley Palmer-Watts and many more using AEG appliances on the main stage during cooking demonstrations, AEG says.

AEG will hold Induction and Steam cookery classes to cook healthy and convenient family, seasonal suppers alongside organic cookery school Daylesford Organics, called the AEG Cooking Club. Simple but key cooking techniques will reportedly be a theme throughout each of the recipes.

Also included will be a Family Kitchen, hosting family food-pairing cookery for parents and children, taking place on the AEG mobile academy, which is equipped with the latest AEG steam and induction appliances.

The AEG Family Kitchen Garden will feature vegetable and fruit boxes on benches in the garden area where families can create their own food pairing recipes together by following a simple family food pairing guide. The workshop, according to AEG, is designed to combine fun and education and allow parents and children to learn about nutrition, natural ingredients and food pairing.

AEG consumer marketing manager Vanessa Holloway comments: “We are delighted to be involved in such an exciting event. The Big Feastival gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase AEG’s cutting edge cooking technology, in particular steam cooking and induction. Through demonstrations as well as hands-on and taste experiences we aim to open up the world of possibilities in steam and induction cooking, allowing serious cooks to take their cooking to the next level and achieve outstanding results.”
