AEG Grassroots rugby teams looking for votes to win ‘training session of a lifetime’

AEG is calling for votes in its grassroots rugby campaign.

Since 2011, the premium home appliance brand and Canterbury Clothing have teamed up to support grassroots rugby. To date, more than 200 clubs across the UK have received kit and washing machines — that’s a lot of games and a lot of muddy heroes.

Three of 2014/15’s 20 winners now have a chance to win a training session with England’s World Cup heroes, including Will Greenwood and Austin Healey, AEG says. All they need is votes from their supporters.

The three teams with the most votes at midnight on April 12 2015 win the exercise training session, and everyone who votes can enter a prize draw for a new AEG ÖKOMix washing machine.

The 2014/15 campaign had over 280 entries from all over the UK and the 20 winners have already received the Canterbury Rugby kits they designed themselves and an AEG ÖKOMix washing machine.

The twenty winning teams are (in no particular order):

  1. Reading RFC
  2. King’s Rugby
  3. Kidderminster Carolians
  4. AEG Grassroots rugby laundry campaign Will Greenwood and Austin Healey (4)Wheatley Hills
  5. Old Leamingtonians
  6. Runwell Wyverns RFC
  7. Plymstock Albion RFC
  8. Trojans U14s
  9. St Ives RFC
  10. Hull RFC
  11. Abercwmboi RFC
  12. Letterkenny RFC
  13. Thetford Rugby Club
  14. Brackley RUFC
  15. Chesterfield Panthers
  16. Minety RFC
  17. Marlow RFC
  18. Leyland Warriors
  19. Lancaster RFC
  20. Isle of Wight RFC

England rugby star and commentator Will Greenwood said: ”It truly is a unique experience for each of the three clubs. I’m sure the winners will take away many skills to inspire their performance for the remainder of the season. We’ve seen numerous players over the last four years of the AEG Grassroots campaign go on to succeed in their own rugby careers, some playing for England U18s, Premier League teams and their county. This is an unbeatable opportunity to help your local team win direct access to the sport’s living stars and give them the chance to be inspired to progress in their career. Please show your support for grassroots rugby and register your vote today.”

To register your vote and for your chance to win, visit before 11.59pm on April 12 2015. Click the Grassroots Rugby 2015 tab in the menu bar, then click on the Vote Now button for your favourite team.
