The Electrolux brands have congratulated employee Penny Rumford for amassing 30 years of service.
Penny began her career on April 15 1985 as the AEG Home Economist and has since worked with many national and independent retailer accounts. In Penny’s current role as product specialist manager she continues to promote the three brands with product training and inspirational cooking demonstrations, the manufacturer says.
Eletrolux brands UK & IE national training manager Raymond Laidlaw commented: “Penny’s dedication, expert knowledge, experience and passion for our brands is infectious. Her dedication and commitment is flawless; she is a special asset to the company!”
Reflecting on her time in the industry, Penny said: “From a business perspective the challenge is much greater today as the consumer has access to much more information, therefore the retailer is challenged and wants more information and in turn as a trainer I need more in depth information. A major change in training is that it is electronically driven which has meant me learning new skills. It was acetates when I started! One thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for AEG and the Electrolux brands. My objective has always been the same in wishing to share my passion and knowledge across the industry, resulting in product sales.”
