Acoustic Energy (AE) has welcomed the return of design engineer Matt Spandl to the business. The move comes as AE launches into a new era for the brand, with plans to launch a ‘cutting edge’ series of active, traditional and Bluetooth loudspeaker products throughout 2016 and 2017.
Matt (pictured) has a solid history with AE, working at the Cirencester company for eight years before moving to a pro-audio business in 2013 to work on a range of installation speakers.
Matt commented: “This is an excellent time to return to AE with a host of innovative new products, from entry level to high-end, in the pipeline. I am looking forward to bringing some of the skills I learnt working in pro-audio to help AE achieve class leading performance in the home market.”
Acoustic Energy managing director Neil Truckell added: “As we expand the team at Cirencester we needed another senior engineer with a wide range of acoustic design expertise to accelerate our product roadmap. With his background at AE and skills brought in from other sectors of the loudspeaker market, Matt was the obvious choice.”
The first of AE’s new line-up of loudspeaker systems for 2016, the AEGO3 and AEGO Sound3ar, were launched at the recent Bristol Hi-Fi Show.
