HRH The Duke of Kent helps Belling celebrate 100th years of manufacture
HRH the Duke of Kent paid a special visit to Liverpool-based Belling on 23 July, as part of the brand’s 100th birthday celebrations.
Visiting in honour of the manufacturer’s 100th anniversary, the Duke was given a tour of Belling’s headquarters and factory for a behind-the-scenes look at its manufacturing processes in the UK, as well as a presentation about Belling’s commitment to British manufacture.
He was also treated to a cookery demonstration by leading chef and Belling brand ambassador, Brian Turner. Concluding the visit, the Duke officially presented Belling’s parent company, Glen Dimplex Home Appliances with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, which was given to the manufacturing group earlier this year after overseas sales of its British-made products increased by 880 per cent.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious accolades for business performance, and recognise and reward outstanding achievement.
