The Dyson City DC26 is a compact but powerful cylinder cleaner designed for smaller homes. With this product Dyson has responded to the societal trend showing that as homes get smaller, space becomes a premium. According to recent research, 2.3 million homes in England are smaller than 50m².
It took Dyson five years to come out with a cleaner that is a third smaller than its predecessor but equally powerful. James Dyson’s challenge to his engineers was to create a cylinder vacuum cleaner small enough to sit on an A4 piece of paper – with no loss of cleaning performance.
Dyson’s patented Root Cyclone technology has been condensed to fit into the machine: 13 small inner cyclones deliver superior efficiency in a small space – keeping air velocity high and energy consumption low.
The cleaner’s dual channel floor tool also means that two separate airflow channels can direct suction power evenly. The cleaner is equipped with a Hepa filter and “the air expelled from DC26 contains up to 150 times less bacteria and mould than the air you breathe” says the manufacturer. The cleaner comes with a five-year guarantee.
